New Pieces

Well back from warm sunny Georgia,USA to this rather cold climate!!!

Still there is some good news there will be some new pieces going up on the shop this weekend.

First up we have the pack mules with the mountain gun loads.

These loads have cast extremely well and now give you the option to have the gun dismantled and carried.

Next is the Hussar horse holder - there's actually two horse holders and I'm only showing the one here with the horse, the saddle etc is separate so I can make variants in the future.

We then have the other Pistligo's horse figure so there will now be two figures available for this unit and I may do a couple more variants.

Finally some of the Imagination pieces I've done for customers - the Arcadia Grenadiers and a lancer in tricorn.

These figures will appear in the shop in the near future under a new Imagination tab.

Any questions get in touch.

The early French hussars get some additional figures with two charging hussars.
A Hussar ADC also makes his appearance.
The Chasseur de Fischer infantry - skirmishing both line and command are also available to order.

Languedoc Dragoons

I managed to finish the horses for the dragoons that Steve Allen painted for me. The only thing I need to do is add a small amount of lace which I forgot to mention in the brief!!!

Next up is I need to look at getting some command figures made and cast!

Use your Imagi-Nation!

I have always been aware that like me a few of my customers also build Imagi-Nation forces alongside their Historical 18th Century armies.

One of my regular customers asked re the feasibility of buying some of my sculptors time to commission a few pieces. The Point was he was only after a couple of regiments and I pointed out it would be rather expensive for such a small number but after discussing with him what he wanted I offered to have a go at doing a few conversions and putting them in one of my master moulds
the results you can see below ;-

The NCO's right shoulder needs a little work but the customer is more than happy. The two figures in tricorns are for my Dutch but the Officer will have a head swop once cast for the Customer's Grenadier Officer.

I've quite enjoyed doing this and am more than happy to do simple conversions for customers once we've discussed what they would like.

Next up is a lancer figure for another customer - all fun.

A couple of sneak peeks and what's to come in 2018

A parcel arrived from Andy Stadden yesterday, so I apologise for the quality of the photos, taken in haste in poor light using un inked figures however these will be off to Griffin for their return to work on the 2nd January.
First up are the completed set for the Georgia Scouts/Rangers.

Then we have a couple more hussars this time charging and a rather nice Hussar ADC
Then we have the Chasseur de Fischer infantry and nice addition to the French army
What is not shown are the Hussar Horse holders ( 2 variants) - waiting on the horse and a set of Afro-carribean heads which will prove very useful for some conversions I'm planning.

So what's to come in 2018  well with the continued absence of Richard and the family turmoil when Mam died then the Saxons never got released but they are the priority for 2018 and will appear sooner rather than later.

More French - on the bench at the moment with Andy Stadden are the Musquetaires, there will be Cantabrians and all sorts of other troops that take  my fancy. There's isn't much left now to finish the Jacobites - a decision re casualty figures is still to be made.

The British army is just about done - NCO's, Officers and ADC's is about all that's left

John Dougan will continue with his War in Savoia and will finis off the command for the French Dragoons.

You can also expect to see some maritime pieces appearing at some point which I think if all of this is achieved will lead to a rather full year.

So thank you for your support and a Merry Christmas to you all

Merry Christmas and a couple of new pieces

First and foremost can I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you all enjoy the festive break.
I shall be on Christmas slow down from the 23rd December until the 2nd January but I will still be checking e.mails and orders ready to hit the ground running in 2018.

I should have the next set of new releases from Andy Stadden this week but in the meantime here's a couple of conversions I've completed and these will be in the shop in the New Year.

There's a British General another addition for Pistligo's horse and some 'generic' Militia figures hope you like them.

Also there's a flag for Clan Chattan from Pete's flags - nice.
The horses are the new heavy horses on licence from Ebob - there's a little work to do on them before they are released but they're no far off production.
