Salute 2018 - ready to go!

Stock is all sorted and ready for loading. Van is booked and to be collected early in the morning loaded and then off.

Pre.orders have been healthy this year let's hope its a good sign!!!

I hadn't posted these on the blog and as I know not evryone is on Facebook I thought they were worthy of appearing on here.
John Dougan the sculptor of these has painted his pack mules and mountain gun and a mighty fine job he's done I think.

I'm pleased to report John has started on the French Dragoon command and Andy is on with the Musquetaires - then it's definitely on with the early Saxons.

If you're at Salute pop by and say hello even if I can't get you to part with some cash.

New Pieces

Well back from warm sunny Georgia,USA to this rather cold climate!!!

Still there is some good news there will be some new pieces going up on the shop this weekend.

First up we have the pack mules with the mountain gun loads.

These loads have cast extremely well and now give you the option to have the gun dismantled and carried.

Next is the Hussar horse holder - there's actually two horse holders and I'm only showing the one here with the horse, the saddle etc is separate so I can make variants in the future.

We then have the other Pistligo's horse figure so there will now be two figures available for this unit and I may do a couple more variants.

Finally some of the Imagination pieces I've done for customers - the Arcadia Grenadiers and a lancer in tricorn.

These figures will appear in the shop in the near future under a new Imagination tab.

Any questions get in touch.

Languedoc Dragoons

I managed to finish the horses for the dragoons that Steve Allen painted for me. The only thing I need to do is add a small amount of lace which I forgot to mention in the brief!!!

Next up is I need to look at getting some command figures made and cast!

Use your Imagi-Nation!

I have always been aware that like me a few of my customers also build Imagi-Nation forces alongside their Historical 18th Century armies.

One of my regular customers asked re the feasibility of buying some of my sculptors time to commission a few pieces. The Point was he was only after a couple of regiments and I pointed out it would be rather expensive for such a small number but after discussing with him what he wanted I offered to have a go at doing a few conversions and putting them in one of my master moulds
the results you can see below ;-

The NCO's right shoulder needs a little work but the customer is more than happy. The two figures in tricorns are for my Dutch but the Officer will have a head swop once cast for the Customer's Grenadier Officer.

I've quite enjoyed doing this and am more than happy to do simple conversions for customers once we've discussed what they would like.

Next up is a lancer figure for another customer - all fun.
