Salute this weekend and Minden equipment news

well last minute reinforcements are due to arrive from Griffin, so some more last minute packing.
I guess I've blistered close on a thousand packs for this event and even with the best planning and late casting requests a couple of unexpected last minute pre.orders has left a couple of codes low! :( hope no one wants Prussian 12 pounders!
All stock will be in the hall tonight ready for packing into the hire car first thing tomorrow and then hopefully we will be there in time to set up.
Looking forward to meeting those of you who can make it.

Finally Jim has given me permission to stock the new pieces of equipment so when I return from Salute I will be ordering the Brummers and the Austrian artillery.

New units and Customer Pics.

Whilst in that lull before the storm that is Salute thought I'd take a couple of pictures of units I've recently based and flagged.
First up the French Regiment Vermandois with flags by Maverick Models. Figures painted by Steve Allen.

 Then we have the Buffs painted by Mark Allen, flags by Flags of War lots more to do for the demo game at Partizan!

Finally from one of my customers Truls Fjell The Colonel General Cavalerie, using the FitzJames figure - very nice work.

Even more new stuff

Jim has published photos of the new Hessian figures sculpted by Richard.
I'm pleased to say that as these form part of the Fife and Drum range I will be stocking them.
No dates yet but soon.
As Jim says these are also suitable for Prussians :)

Its good to see Richard back in the chair and details of my next 16 figures have been sent this morning.

Coming soon Savoia Artillery crew

In the post to Griffin today I have sent the greens from John for the Savoia artillery crew.
six figures in total and I van see uses for these as more than just artillery.
With luck I may have a very limited supply at Salute!!

I have also sent my first three Jacobite casualties, these are pieces I've done so I really don't know how they will turn out :) but watch this space.

Dillon Regiment

Steve Allen finished painting the second of my Irish regiments. I collected them at York but I had given him 3 figures too few so I had to paint 3 up to blend in and base.
The flags are by Mark Allen.

The 'at ready' poses are becoming my favorite pose - all standing and they look fine as a marching/advancing unit, this mix is more of a defensive nature but looks good.
Now I also have the two firing figures there's all sorts of combinations to try, I may even have a go at a three rank deep unit :)

Now I'm safely back from my son's engagement party in Chicago time to start getting ready for Salute.

11th Dragoons

Finished the second squadron of the 11th dragoons.
although spot the deliberate mistake ?
yup i gave some of them black cartridge boxes for some reason!!! any way will change these this week.
The flag is by GMB .
Half way there for the regiment :)

Off to Chicago shortly so another update upon my return and preparations for Prestonpans show.
