Jacobite Cavalry and French - Metal Masters.

I have received the metal masters back from Griffin ready to sort into production moulds.
First up are the French 'at ready' the standing figure is one I converted from one of Richard's other figures and I'm quite pleased how he has come out.
Baggots Hussars on foot and mounted, I'm going to look at doing some conversions on these to make mounted Highlanders.

 Fitz James' Horse

Princes Life Guard also suitable for the Garde Ecosse.
The bad news is that there is a fault on the Life Guard Command the scabbards have all become bent in the mould making and will have to be repaired ( almost done) and new master mould made so the command will be a few weeks late.
Watch out for pre.order offers.

Sneak Peeks

Thought I'd post a few teasers.

I should be getting the metal masters for the Jacobite cavalry from Griffin next week :)
In the meantime John has been busy doing some more Garde Francais - two poses

and he tells me he has started on NCO's and Officers - great news
In addition based on a new dollie is a marching Savoia infantry figure. Grenadiers won't be far behind.

My attempts at conversions and sculpts continue
Charging British Infantry, Dragoon horseholder, Highland Officer and highland casualty - I do intend to get these cast up and I'm working on a horse for the horseholder!!!!

This is a converted Minden British Officer into a mounted Highland Officer, I've spoken with Jim and he's quite happy for me to convert some more figures. If there's enough interest we will make these available.

Customer Pictures.

One of my regular customers Harold Batten sent me some photos of some of my figures he has recently completed and I post them here for you all to share.
The first three are of the Albermarle personalty figure with a British foot Officer. The hounds are from a 1930's hunting set!

The Gardes Lorraines from my Manchester's foot
 The Fusiliers de Morliere

Enjoy.

Coming Soon

I came back from the relocated Griffin factory yesterday carrying a bag of the new metal masters :)

First up are the Garde Francais, these chaps come with separate muskets to allow for a degree of variation. I think they're spot on!

Next up Spanish Infantry at attention - suitable for the WAS in Italy and is also a hint of things to come once the Jacobites are finished.
Then we have the Savoia Infantry also standing
The metal dolly for the Fusiliers de Morliere Cavalry  - presently his head is separate and I haven't decided if we should do this on the final figure - thoughts?
I've used the dollie to also show the Grenadier head, this will be used to create the FdM Grenadiers and the Savoia Grenadiers.

Finally a couple of pictures of some of my own, the mounted Highland Officer is a conversion of a Minden Miniatures Officer and I need to speak with Jim to see if he wishes to sell it.

The second is a charging British Officer I have made to go with some charging/assaulting British line I'm doing for a forlorn hope!

The figures for production will be going back to Griffin next week and will be available to pre.order in a couple of weeks.

I also dropped off the greens for the Jacobite/French Cavalry so these shouldn't be too far away.

Thoughts and observations gratefully received.

New Greens on their way

I'm pleased to say Richard has finished the next set of greens, - the only down side is that the British Horse Grenadier didn't make it so he and an Officer will be in the next set.

First up Baggot's Hussars

Headgear based on the Penicuik so not normally what most other manufacturers have produced
Next Fitz James' Horse with plastron - so these will serve nicely as French Cavalry.
Also the French infantry kneeling at the ready, I'm converting another figure for the standing at the ready so the French firing line will be complete

Next the Prince's Lifeguard, since taking the photo I asked Richard to put more lace on the tunics, which he has done - that means the figure can also be used for the French Garde Ecosse.

Richard has also sculpted a couple of heads for the British Fusiliers which will be made available for those that wish to do some conversions.

These will be off to Griffin on Monday for the Master mould to be made.
