Morgan’s Rifles and issues with Mailchimp

This weeks update is that I hope to receive Morgan’s Rifles for the Fife and Drum range next week, 8 figures sold as a set, they should be in the shop over the next couple of days.

I also tried to send a newsletter out to everyone however almost 400 bounced!! Bearing in mind I use a standard template I created then this came as a bit of a shock so something has happened along the line which now makes my postings not acceptable.

As I’m not great on the technology front this may take a while to sort out so apologies to those of you who didn’t receive and update !!

More news next week.

More new greens

Somehow I managed to post this entry on my Scotia Albion blog first hey ho!

Anyway Richard has sent me images of the new greens heading my way, the main focus was on the civilians so we have civilians/ militia marching and skirmishing, some doughty female homesteaders fighting and as a slight diversion French Fusiliers and Grenadiers in turn back coats charging.

Pre releases should be available in around 6 weeks

Lots of new stuff

I’m pleased to say that I’ve received the first casts of phase 2 of the Saxons, I’m very happy. I have a little work to do on the marching NCO but otherwise the first packs of these figures will appear in the shop over the next few days. Whilst the production moulds get made.
The Uhlans unfortunately don’t come with the lances I can’t get the 50mm spears at trade any more unfortunately.

In addition I got some metal test casts of the 3D renders I’d had done. The Hungarian musketeer and grenadier and the Prussian Jaegers, unfortunately the Jaegers officer jaw was stretched and he looks quite ghoulish but I can make it right quite easily. The Jaegers I will most probably sell has a limited run. The Hungarians I’m not decided.

Finally a while ago John Dougan made some oarsmen to be used in a future publication by Charles Grant on the ongoing war between the VFS and the Duchy of Lorraine, I’ve been asked on one of the forums to make them available so I will 😂

Rangers and Provincials

Well still trying to keep the range moving even though at the moment there is no mould making taking place.
I am pleased to say that Richard Ansell is still working and here you can see his latest 'greens' for the range.
Provincial infantry and Rangers together with a sprue of heads for conversions.
Can't say when they will hit production but I'm really looking forward to getting them

A big thank you and an important update

UPDATE
First can I say a huge thankyou to customers who have placed orders over the last two weeks ( particularly overseas customers who were in the majority) for a small business where cash flow is everything it means a lot.

I have cleared the majority of the orders and have a few left to complete,  unfortunately a number of codes are now out of stock and Griffin moulds have just informed me that they are closing from today ! So until this pandemic clears there will be no replacement stock.

By the weekend I shall go through the outstanding orders and those I can't complete I will offer partial or full refunds or if you're happy to wait they will be held over.
People are still welcome to place orders but can I ask that you contact me first via e.mail to check on stock etc.

I will be putting out a newsletter as well in case some customers don't pick up off Facebook or the blog.

Keep safe and get painting.

Salute 2020 & Covid 19

I have had a couple of customers contact me re. Salute and that if the show is cancelled what will happen to pre.orders.?

At this moment in time Salute 2020 is still happening as are other major events at the Excel
Should the worst happen then I will post out all pre.orders to customers with free postage
For a small business like mine I can't stress how important a show like Salute is - apart from the publicity the show itself usually guarantees the next two to three sets of new releases ( each set being around 16 new figures) so you can see it's fairly business critical.

As usual there is a show pre.order discount of 15% for all orders over £60 (excluding unit packs) just enter Salute2020 at checkout or just e.mail me if you wish to discuss further just e.mail me

On a brighter note here's a couple of pictures of Irish Piquets/Royal Ecossais painted by one of my customers (Winterfeldt) and some of the dismounted French Dragoons painted by Steve Allen.
